About Mavericks Ice Cream

The Mavericks ice cream shop on Salt Spring Island is your go-to destination for the best ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, ice pops, and espresso coffee drinks. Our small-batch ice cream is available year-round by the pint and half pint. We open our ice cream scoop shop, complete with house-made waffle cones, during the summer months only.

Our cafe proudly serves Bows Coffee, roasted in Victoria, BC.

We work with local businesses to showcase seasonal produce, and Salt Spring Island is home to hundreds of farms that work tirelessly to bring their best to the table. Our recipes incorporate these farm-fresh ingredients, many of which are organic and sustainably grown.

Daniel Crossin is the founder of Mavericks Ice Cream and manages all recipe development and production. He is a professionally trained chef with experience in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world.
